Auto
Mechanics
What's the difference between a carburetor and a muffler?
What are brake shoes and why can't you wear them?
Young men and women alike participate in this program. Some students continue, while others learn enough of the "basics" to know how to at least care for their own cars. Work is done under the supervision of a Certified ASE Auto Instructor. In addition to the mechanic portion of this program, we have an auto body repair
component.

Vehicles are donated to Bachman by people in the community. After they have been repaired and cleaned up, they are given to needy families in the area. The
student(s) who have taken responsibility for the vehicle turn over the keys to the new owner, having learned a valuable lesson in giving, as well as their automotive repair
training.
A family in the area received the keys to their
"new"
vehicle from students who helped to do the
repairs. |
