Horticulture

Through the Horticulture Program at Bachman Academy, our students will be growing plants through hands-on experiences; preparing them for work or further study in the horticulture field. Students will be shown techniques common to the commercial industry. The greenhouse, gardens, and classroom, give students the opportunity to apply classroom applications.

The Horticulture Program offers Bachman students techniques common to the commercial industry.

Students are to learn about native and ornamental plants, how to prepare these plants for use and sale, as well as, learn about landscaping, landscape design, conservation issues and designing backyard habitats for wildlife. Students will develop leadership skills, gain valuable hands-on experiences, and have the opportunity to participate in our school Garden and Landscape Club.
