Jim Brown, Maintenance Supervisor

Jim Brown is the Maintenance Supervisor for Bachman Academy. “I really enjoy the people and interaction of a large group,” says Jim.

“The scope of projects here is really fun.” At one time, Jim owned and operated a diesel truck repair shop. He also has experience as a shop and maintenance supervisor.

Jim attended Waubonsee College and has taken many technical and vocational classes. He says has been “self-taught at the school of hard knocks on everything else.”

When he is not on the job at Bachman, Jim enjoys making old things new again at home, restoring tractors, motorcycles and equipment. He also enjoys spending time with his family: his wife, Rachel, and his son, Travis.

Jim’s motto is “never say never. It will limit you!”
