Philip Neal was born in Tennessee, but has lived in Maryland, Texas, Mexico and Puerto Rico (where he learned to speak Spanish). He is one of eight children and has always enjoyed his large family. |
Mr. Neal received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern Adventist University. He also received his Master of Science in Psychology from
SAU. While at the university, Mr. Neal began learning to play the Double Bass which he still enjoys today. He played in the university orchestra for seven years, four of which he was Principal Bassist.

Mr. Neal enjoys a rich life with his family and friends. He enjoys both on and off road cycling, playing in the East Tennessee Symphony Orchestra, reading books of a spiritual or psychological nature and spending time with his friends and family.
Mr. Neal has a long history of working with young people and over ten years of counseling experience in different capacities. He was the Dean of Students at Bachman Academy from 2000 to 2004. He has also taught English, Composition and Spanish I and II and worked as a Dorm Parent on many occasions. Mr. Neal’s passion has always been psychology, and this is his first year as the school therapist.
