Melody Savio is Bachman Academy’s Director of Finance. She received a B.A. in Social & Behavioral Science from the University of South Florida.
After her marriage to Dino, who is an industrial designer, she became interested in design. |
So it was back to school again where she received a degree in Interior Design from St. Petersburg College.
For 20 years, Melody was a self-employed interior designer specializing in yacht interiors. Projects ranged from 31’ to 130’. Since the shipyards were always located, “somewhere else,” she and her husband are seasoned travelers. Her work took her from California to Canada, France, Italy, Sardinia, Corsica and Hong Kong.

Melody and her husband Dino relocated to Cleveland, Tennessee from Tarpon Springs, Florida where she lived for forty-two years. After visiting Cleveland several times to visit her parents, they decided that Cleveland looked like a nice, quiet place to retire. They were both tired of the constant traveling, the Florida heat, and the constant hurricanes. Dino wanted to retire and pursue his artwork, and Melody decided to shift gears, let someone else be “the boss” and pursue a less stressful job.
Melody enjoys reading, photography, gardening and occasionally flipping through those yachting magazines – reminiscing about her “other” life.
