Generosity
that Changes Lives
Bachman Academy has always been the grateful recipient of much generosity from parents, friends, neighbors, churches and volunteers. In an effort to grow the school to its fullest potential, the office of development has been added to our administration. Nikki Rigdon is happy to be serving as Director of Development.
Though its roots go back to 1912 Bachman Academy has been operating a school for students with learning differences since 1999. This redirection of focus has brought about many wonderful changes to our campus and to the lives of young people from Tennessee and all over the country.
We have made many improvements to our campus since 1999. For example, we have renovated Robinson Learning Center to create an ideal learning and teaching environment for our students and teachers. We have also renovated Upper and Lower North to provide an improved residence for 26 energetic boys. However, we want to be able to do even more.
That is why we have established the Bachman Annual Fund. It will provide yearly unrestricted gifts to the school. Its primary purpose will be to benefit those who are most important to us -our
faculty and
students.
Faculty
We have a bright and talented faculty at Bachman Academy. Our students have been able to learn from
our
teachers
when no one else could teach them. Bachman Academy teachers are skilled, they have patience, and above all, they care. Our dorm parents provide a loving and comforting home away from home for our boarding students. They establish a trust relationship with our students where one may have never existed before outside of their family. They teach lessons not found in a textbook about character and values.
Our faculty is worth their weight in gold. Yet we have not always been able to pay them accordingly. The annual fund will serve to enhance faculty salaries and professional development.
